Design

The XTR Cam & ½ system was one of the main features of the TurboHawk. It incorporated sealed bearings and a modular draw-length adjustment system. Contemporary reporting states that the draw length could be adjusted in ½-inch increments from 26" to 30".

The bow used XTS five-layer laminated parallel split limbs together with Hoyt's Zero Tolerance/Pro-Lock-style limb pocket system, connecting the limbs and riser through a rigid pocket arrangement. Hoyt also incorporated its TEC riser design and RizerShox vibration-management components.

The 3.75 lb mass weight is particularly notable for a 32" axle-to-axle bow of its era. Contemporary reviews described the TurboHawk as a lightweight platform with a relatively smooth draw cycle for its speed rating.
